Can we provide our end-client access to our Autotask instance via the API?
Answer
The default API User security level provides access to all areas of Autotask that are accessible via the API. This access is at the level of a Full Access or System Administrator security license, including permissions to add, edit, and delete almost anything. While you can create a custom API security level, it is the wrong tool for the job. To provide your clients with access to their own data in your Autotask instance, use the Client Portal. Refer to Overview of Client Portal and Taskfire Internal Help Desk.
