New Features
The Autotask integration with Microsoft Teams provides users with an alternate method for receiving the notifications generated by ticket workflow rules. Instead of a mailbox, the notification is sent to Microsoft Teams and posted to a channel via a webhook URL. The workflow rules define the events and conditions as well as the Teams channel the notification is posted to.
Each post contains the following information:
Below the information fields are three action buttons:
- View Ticket
- Edit Ticket
- Add Time Entry
Clicking a button will open the respective ticket or time entry page in Autotask.
Configuration
- In Microsoft Teams, you set up the team and channel or channels that will generate the webhooks that establish the connection to Autotask and receive the notifications. For more information, refer to Create an Incoming Webhook for a channel.
- Once the incoming webhook URLs are set up in Teams, the Teams channel connectors must be set up in Autotask. Refer to Creating and managing Teams channel connectors.
- The final step is to configure ticket workflow rules to post notification emails to a Teams channel instead of, or in addition to, sending an email notification.
Devices associated with selected (or all) contexts in VSA X can now be synchronized with Autotask. The range of VSA X device fields that are available in Autotask are similar to the ones available with the Datto RMM integration, and are presented in a Details from VSA X section on the Device page.
Importantly, the integration will allow the VSA X integration to set up the Mac Address of mapped devices in Autotask. This address is visible to other integrations such as Datto RMM or IT Glue, and will prevent the creation of duplicate devices in Autotask if multiple Kaseya IT Complete applications referencing the same device are connected.
Configuration
- The integration is mostly configured in VSA X, but it requires that a dedicated API user is created for the Integration Vendor Kaseya - VSA X - RMM. This API user will be used by VSA X for authentication.
- Once the integration is configured in VSA X, devices will be created for mapped contexts/organizations, and tickets according to notification criteria.
UI changes if the integration is enabled
- On the Device Category > General tab, the Details from VSA X section appears and is visible by default.
- On the Device Category > Insights tab, the VSA X Device insight appears but is hidden by default.
- On the Device page of devices synced from VSA X, you will see the Details from VSA X section.
- The VSA X Device insight is available on the Insights panel of devices and tickets linked to VSA X.
- On all device search pages and grids, a filter and a column called Associated with VSA X are now available.
- On other pages where devices appear (Organization, Contract, and Contact pages), the Associated with VSA X column is available.
- On the ticket search pages and tables, you can display the Device Associated With VSA X column.
- In Device widgets, Associated with VSA X is available as a grouping and filtering criteria.
- In Ticket widgets, Device Associated with VSA X is available as a grouping and filtering criteria.
- On ticket boards, Device Associated with VSA X can be added as a filter to the "On Deck" section.
- Contacts cannot automatically be associated with devices. You can manually associate them on the Device Mapping page, where we added VSA X as a filter to the Discovered By field.
Cooper Bot is a new system API user that appears as the actor for workflows that are automatically initiated (triggered) in other Kaseya IT Complete modules. There is no charge for system resources, and they cannot be edited. To prevent changes, all menu options are disabled for the Cooper Bot system resource.
The Cooper Bot avatar appears in the Activity feed associated with notes generated in other IT Complete modules.
The notes are pulled every 15 minutes from KaseyaOne, Datto RMM, and IT Glue.
For more on Cooper Bots, refer to Cooper Bots.
