New Features

Smart Accounting Hub for QuickBooks Online

The Smart Accounting Hub is a new API connector from Kaseya, independent of AppConnect® and approved by Intuit®. It offers improved sync performance, a modern UI, enhanced support, and ongoing feature updates based on user feedback.

NOTE  The Smart Accounting Hub integration will be deployed in phased rollouts.

Autotask/ConnectBooster tax calculation improvements with QuickBooks Online

Tax calculation is now handled by QuickBooks Online's Automated Sales Tax (AST) function, with the integration pushing tax data into Autotask to ensure invoice consistency between both systems.

Incoming email processing duplicate ticket enhancements using Message-ID

An optional setting has been added to allow the incoming email processor to track an email's Message-ID which can help prevent duplicate tickets being created when email replies are received.

NOTE  Message-IDs are a widely used email standard, primarily supported by major providers like Microsoft and Google. While not mandatory, most email systems support it, though some exceptions may exist.

IT Glue Checklist enhancements

When the IT Glue integration is enabled, Autotask pulls real-time checklist items from the mapped IT Glue template into tickets. An API Key, generated in IT Glue, must be configured in Autotask before syncing checklists.

IMPORTANT  If you're currently integrating with IT Glue for checklists, you must create an API Key in IT Glue to continue using the integration.

The API Key should be entered on the IT Glue Integration page in Autotask. To enter the API Key in Autotask, go to Admin > Extensions & Integrations > Kaseya Integrations > IT Glue from the left navigation menu.

NOTE  Retrieve an API Key from IT Glue by navigating to Admin > Settings > API Keys > Custom API Keys.

SPF and Domain validation enhancements

As part of security improvements in Autotask, this release introduces domain ownership validation, including new SPF and Domain Verification requirements.

If you have previously setup and validated your domains, there are no additional steps required.

If you have yet to validate your domains, make sure your SPF records are updated to avoid any disruptions. Refer to Managing Domain Settings.

Without SPF and domain validation records proving ownership, Autotask cannot securely send emails on your behalf.
